History
For my history portion, I decided to make a mind map. I knew learning a religion in 3 and 1/2 weeks wouldn't be easy, so having all my thoughts on paper would help me. I made my mind map about all of different teachings, values and beliefs going through the mind of a Buddhist. The solid lines show connection to the different topics and the dotted lines show how different topics in the religion relate and depend on each other. Below is an explanation of the dotted lines. For the English side of my project, I wanted to do something more personal. I wrote in a journal every day and logged my journey and growth throughout the project. I used my personal journal, and wrote two entries every day, one explaining my mindset and the other explaining my lifestyle. I did this for 15 days and at the end, presented the journal with all of my entries.

Art
When I was looking at art ideas, I found mandalas and basic Buddhist traditions, but I wanted to do something that would challenge my skills. I knew that Buddhism originated in India, so I took a look at their traditions with art. The first thing that came to me, was henna. Henna is a paste that is drawn onto the skin (usually the hands), and it stains your skin for about 2 weeks. I knew right away I wanted to make a henna piece inspired by Buddhist symbols. I drew a few different designs, and then chose my favorite and recreated it on my own hand.
